Pita Greek began during the most uncertain time for restaurants — the pandemic of 2020. What started as a small ghost kitchen quickly grew into something bigger: a place where people in Rockland County could enjoy authentic Greek food made with care, tradition, and real ingredients.
Our goal was simple:
serve the kind of Greek food we grew up eating — fast, fresh, and done right.
A Family of Restaurateurs
Pita Greek was founded by Nicholas Lambos, a first-generation Greek American whose family has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 50 years.
Growing up in a Greek household meant food was always at the center of everything — family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday meals. Many of the recipes and techniques used at Pita Greek come directly from Nicholas’s mother and grandmother.
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Nicholas built his career working in restaurants before opening Pita Greek and continuing to operate AquaTerra Grille in Pearl River.
